What is BreakAway?
A social platform for actual socialising — meeting real people and doing real things, in real life. Say what you're up for, see who and what's around you, and go. No feeds, no followers.
What are Places?
Hand-picked spots around the city, tagged by what you'd do there — a café to sit, a court to play, somewhere for the night. Find one that fits and plan something, or just show up and meet whoever's there.
How does the map work?
Nothing shows until you say what you're up for. Then you're on the map — visible to everyone nearby by default, so people you haven't met yet can spot you and wave. Never your exact spot, just a rough distance. Want it tighter? Switch to friends-only in Settings. You fade out after a couple of hours, or step back whenever.
How do friends work?
Add people you meet or already know, with a mutual yes. Then make plans with them directly — no group-chat back-and-forth. Your circle stays private; nothing's publicly searchable.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. Your profile, plans, chats, and all data are permanently removed. You can also email gobreakaway.app@gmail.com to request deletion.
